The historian Olaf Stapledon composed the novels Last and First Men and Star Maker. Both are long sagas, one about the future rollercoaster evolution of humans through two billion years, and the other about the long astral journey of an intellectual through the universe. Olaf has amazed me with his revitalizing spirit since my teenage years.
